Chiropractic
My experience
I went to a chiropractor for a few visits. On the first visit he performed a simple procedure where he realigned my cervical spine known commonly as chiropractic adjustment or spinal manipulation. I lied down side-ways and he applied pressure to my neck. I then heard a few cracks from my neck and that was it.
After the spinal manipulation the chiropractor massaged my entire spine using a large massage machine. He then moved my neck and head in many different directions untill he heard cracking noises.
Along with manipulation of the neck, I also recieved 3 treatments of accupuncture. Rather than using the traditional needles, the chiropractor used an electrical accpuncture machine. I was grounded and the machine has a tip which was placed at various points around my neck and head, as well as some on my finger tips. The machine works by making noise, with more powerful tones corresponding to a point that requires attention. Once a point was found, the tip was held on the point for atleast 30 seconds.
I was more sensitive to some points and less sensitve to others so throughout I had to communicate to say how I felt. The thing with the accupuncture machine is that it does hurt. It feels like needles are in you at the point where the tip is applied and it feels all tingly.
After three 30 minute accupuncture appointments, I didn't notice much difference at all with my headache expect for a little less pain in my right temple.
